Science and health, delivered where communities live

A Minnesota company working in health and science

Serving public agencies, research institutions and the communities they need to reach.

Who we are

Shire Scientific, LLC was founded in March 2021 by Dr. Abdirashid M. Shire. For Hennepin County, we helped adults living with serious and persistent mental illness stay well in their own communities. With the University of Minnesota, we led the Somali Community Advisory Board for a national study of genetic counseling. In Somalia, Dr. Shire built the country's first forensic science institution and trained the scientists who now run it.
